I'm currently watching episode 43 of the 47 episodes of the Chinese drama Recca Military School (Arsenal Military School).
It's not just a love story, but it's set in China in 1911, a time when Sun Yat-sen, the father of the Chinese revolution, led the Xinhai Revolution and transformed imperial China into a republic, and the power of the Republic of China government was weak. It shows the Republic of China, which was unable to break free from the domination of foreign countries including Japan, and began to walk a very difficult path as an independent nation.
Winning national independence is not an easy task. It really conveys the tear-jerking feelings of the Chinese people, who finally achieved independence after much blood was shed and many hardships were overcome.
In episode 43, one of my friends at the military school died a tragic death.
The death of a kind and caring friend brought tears to all my classmates, and I couldn't stop crying either.
The final episode, episode 47, will soon be upon us, and I hope it ends with a happy ending.
I hope that the students of military schools who have overcome hardships and persevered through rigorous training will successfully graduate from school, and have a graduation ceremony where they will assume the heavy responsibility of protecting the country as official soldiers.
