It is an image image, there is no Issey Miyake's design
Issey Miyake, a world-famous designer in Japan, passed away on August 5th. He had liver cancer.
Mr. Miyake became known worldwide for his avant-garde designs in the 80's.
In a famous story, the late Steve Jobs resonated with Mr. Miyake's fashion and only wore a black turtleneck designed by Mr. Miyake. As a fellow Japanese, I feel proud that the famous Steve Jobs only wore Miyake's clothes.
I didn't know this either, but when Mr. Miyake was seven years old, he was exposed to the atomic bombing in Hiroshima. Most people probably didn't know that the famous man had suffered damage from the atomic bomb.
After studying graphic design at Tama Art University in Tokyo, Mr. Miyake went to France in 1965 and attended the prestigious school for dressmaking, Ecole de la Chambre Syndical de la Couture Parisienne (Paris). Couture Guild School)”.
In 2016, he received the highest honor from the French government, the Legion of Honor. An exhibition covering his life was held at the National Art Center, Tokyo.
I don't think there is a Japanese person who doesn't know the name of Issey Miyake. His eccentric fashion sense jumped into the hearts of fans all over the world, and the clothes he designed were used and loved in various ways.
I doubt we'll ever see a quirky, avant-garde fashion designer like him again.
He used to star in Japanese TV commercials a long time ago, so I remember him. I still can't believe that he passed away after accomplishing such a great feat, but I pray from the bottom of my heart that Mr. Miyake may rest in peace.
