Across the country, car accidents involving the elderly are becoming more and more common.
Mistaking the accelerator and brake, driving in reverse on the highway, and other things that we take for granted are actually happening.
Some of you may still be driving because you are still strong and okay!
However, no matter how confident you are, it takes longer than younger people to apply the brakes after judging the danger because of the difference in their motor skills.
Even if they think they are applying the brakes, they are actually hitting people with their foot on the gas pedal continuously, causing serious injuries or even death.
The elderly should voluntarily return their driver's license, and if they need to get around, they should take a taxi or bus to ensure their safety.
In fact, my father, who is over 90 years old, drives a car.
I've tried to talk to him many times about how dangerous it is, but he doesn't listen to me.
Every day I worry that if the accident doesn't happen like the ones that are happening all over the country, I hope it won't be a big one.
Once an accident happens, it's too late, so I'm trying to get him to stop driving and think about getting in a car driven by someone else, or taking a bus or taxi.
If you feel unsafe driving in your home, please persuade them to use the safest way to get around.
