It was reported in this morning's newspaper that the Japanese government has come up with a policy of drastically easing waterfront measures by reopening the country to people from all over the world, except tourists, from next month.
With the new corona epidemic gradually diminishing, the government will gradually ease the entry of foreigners into Japan ahead of the Tokyo Olympics next year.
However, the policy will require a negative test result for the new corona virus when leaving a foreign country and entering Japan.
Not only government-sponsored students but also privately-funded students will have their entry eased.
Naturally, the government has made clear its intention to take strong measures to deal with corona, reduce the risk of infection, expand international exchange and boost the economy.
If we are going to combine these two measures, which are to turn the economy around and reduce the risk of corona infection, we need to take all possible measures.
My hometown is Oita Prefecture.
Oita has many tourist attractions, such as the Hell Tour in Beppu and Yufuin, which used to be crowded with foreign tourists.
I am looking forward to the day when the acceptance of foreigners will be expanded to include not only long term visitors, but also tourists and everyone will be able to come and go as they please.
That's all I have to say for today's blog.
I hope you will come back to my blog and I hope that you will be able to visit me again.
You and I have been thinking together about the same subject.
How wonderful it would be to share the same time/space with me!
I look forward to seeing you again.
See you then!
Here's to your eyes!
